The Mexican based company cited legal and financial problems as the reasons for backing out of the $158 million project.Bielek said that having a new name and a new construction will not cause a delay in the project’s timeline or an increase itscost.”The way our contracts work, if someone defaults, the surety is obligated to finish the project in accordance to the original contract terms,” Bielek said.Aside from the collector distributor lanes, theproject improvements for “Go 10″ include upgradingthe connection with Paisano Drive and the Border West Expressway. Updates also include the intermittent addition of lanes to I 10 in both directions and the reconfiguration of ramps and overpasses at Sunland Park Drive, Resler Drive and North Mesa Street.Bielek said that once the project is completed, motorists will be able to weave in and out of 1 10 and the collector distributor lanes with ease since both of them will have similar speed limits.
